Decimated by mother nature's lack of repentance,
a pallid environment ensures,
men wizened to the bone-
their loved ones calling for their souls
and becoming seemingly ethereal
sharing God's love with the Angels in Heaven.

So they wait and moan
each winding second taking its toll,
the inert branches blind with fury
life seeps away from the trees of life
No longer being holy, nor containing the devil's fruits

Babies whine as the drink of life no longer leaks into their mouths
Mothers cry as they cannot fulfill their duty

And at the center of all death
Lies a single rose
Withstanding hell's onslaught
Tainted hearts no more

And that glimmer of hope melts the white blanket,
Life ensures for another year on this planet
