Rules to Live By

One.

You plaster on a smile,

even though they never

look at your face.

Two.

You hold your head

up high, and you

pretend.

Three.

You learn to love

yourself, even when no one

else does.

Four.

You survive, and you don’t

need anybody else to hold

you any longer.
