The Saddest Thing

Location

The saddest thing in the world is the frown on the face of a friend,

Like the bottom of the Pacific, its chasms have no visible end.

The sun dies in a western sky, and evening winds whisper the sound,

Of heartfelt pain of  souls, my friend's and mine, from all around.
