I am sinking into a soul that holds my own,
A special connection that two people can share,
It's powers of healing have often been shown,
Heart against heart in a gentle act of care.

I am wrapped up in a thick, unwavering net,
Fingers sliding over me, through my back,
Encompassed in a safety nowhere else you can get,
Falling into a realm where peace you do not lack.

I am comforted in a way inconceivable to most,
Snuggling, burying myself into the nook I've dug,
No other act can sooth in the way that this one boasts,
So take advantage of this thing called a hug.
