Sailor of The Sea

Fri, 03/28/2014 - 16:46 -- CatLawd

I am the sailor of the ship, and I sail the seas.

I walk these boards and command the breeze.
But my ship is sinking.
My crew falls apart.
Crying over a splinter that's been
lodged in their heart.
And the ship it smells of burning
The waters they are churning
The sharks, they are yearning.
To feed upon me.
What can I do?
What did I do?
But cry
and try
to comfort you.
So I am the failure of this ship.
And these seas sail me.
I'm walked on by the boards and commanded by the breeze.
And I'm haunted
and taunted
by the echo of a memory
That once...
Just once...
I was sailor of the seas
