School And Its Effects

Fri, 11/08/2013 - 00:48 -- Veegee

I feel like school is one of

Societies’ biggest misunderstandings

We put so much value

And trust into this system,

That we see passed all of

Its faults and negative

Effects it has on us.

Sometimes I wonder if

Teachers even care

About what we think

When we are just judged by a letter,

Or a number

Or a percentage

I want to be known for the

Theories I write

Or  the art I create

Or the things I love

I want to be more than

Just a letter

Or a number

Or a percentage

I want to be a human being

Not a statistic.

All school has given me is

Chewed down fingernails

Tired, lifeless eyes

And the notion

I’m not good enough.
