The Seasons

A Thought,

indefinite and young,

rolled among meadow grass and spring flowers,

flashing with light.

A Thought,

pooling and unwavering,

grew in lazy night and cold passion,

heavy with lust.

A child of laughter,

colored by blood.

A beast of stone,

grayed by time.

In cresting shadows,

each fought free

and the boy Hades met the Lady Persephone.

Our world
