Seasons' Face

Dark brow of winter,

Wrinkled and pinched from the cold,

A dusting of snow.

Bright eyes of summer,

Dancing like waving green grass,

So fully alive.

Laughing mouth of spring,

Like the spring peepers singing,

At bubbling brook.

Grey hair of autumn,

Trapped in the unchanging change,

It cannot escape.
