Secrets

The pain cuts deep, the sorrows wide

The sadness gets too hard to hide

Paint on a smile and say you're fine,

Don't let anyone know you've crossed the line.

Add a few bracelets, longer sleeves

Deny their help, though your heart begs please.

Your mind is tangled, thoughts distraught.

You hate the feelings the darkness brought.

There's no way out; who would've thought?

The pain and sadness are tattooed

Your brain just aches, your fears include

The thoughts you try to keep behind

Walls of glass that cannot bind

Together they keep falling down

You simply can't stop the horrific frown.

Everyone asks, your mouth's glued shut

You've dug yourself into a rut

Because sometimes life is living Hell

We all have secrets we'll never tell.
