Self Expressions of My Existence

You see the difference

The light shifts, you notice

Strands of red hair, slowly changing shades

In a crowd I cannot hide

Outer appearances of myself are there

but what some fail to see is what's really there

If I didn’t have that hair

The fairness of my complexion

People’s eyes would focus more on what I truly am

Not just something rare

Digging deeper into my soul, which is actually there

Without any filters or cover ups

A person of intellectual thinking would appear

I think, meditate on the beauty of life

The whys, the hows

picturesque sights

I’m the hopeless romantic, the creative mind

Always laughing no matter what

My outer corners of my lips spread wide, teeth glistening

Not spreading lies, nor judgemental cries

Rather understanding, supporting, and overall positive notions

I am the girl that wishes the green dollar doesn't exist

so that all greed, anger, and selfishness desists

Though my freckles are persistent in being resistant

To stand out, to create some color to my presence

I play God, creating creations

My hands capture moments in time, without technology’s assistance

I express the pain, the love, the experiences of life

When I look down at what is there

I am proud, not scared of being who I am

I am happy our eyes see the perfections in people without any filters

Over all I am so glad of my existence
