I try to be as true to myself

as I can be.

No matter the surroundings, the people, the class

For I have learned it is better to live life

the way I want.

I am not a follower. I do not believe in fitting in.

I do not want to be normal.

Nerdy, geeky, smart, snarky, are the names I live by

Given to my by people still trapped within the confines of societal rules.

Some look and scoff, some stare

But others, they admire. They admire the freedom they wish for.

So I am me. I am free. I do not play by society's rules. 

For life would be so boring

if I were normal.
