What on Earth excited you,

about waking up at 6:00 am to get ready to go to school?

Was it that cute boy with his locker right next to yours,

or the smiles on all your friend's faces when you walked through those front doors?

Please tell me if you don't mind, 

I really want to know.

Was it your incredibly nice teacher teaching your favorite subject,

or was it how your extremely gifted music teacher just let her voice flow?

When I attended school everything was so strict.

No cell phones! No game boys! No candy with a stick!

No hats on ! No flip-flops! No wildly colored hair!

Only 3 minutes for a bathroom break, now that really wasn't fair!

Though I received a great education,

and we were always learning something new and cool,

I still don't understand what on Earth excited you

about waking  up at 6:00 am to get ready to go to school.
