Seventeen Years

Seventeen years of the same thing
Seventeen years of danger
Seventeen years of rings
The guest that couldn’t be stranger

Seventeen days stuck I'm that hospital
Seventeen nights of near death
Seventeen hours through serious medical
That left me in a boxed bed

Seventeen days of happiness
Seventeen days of joy
Seventeen days of Christmas
Spent with the family and toys

Seventeen months older
Seventeen days until
Seventeen hours closer
A brother born at will

Seventeen years we've spent together
Seventeen decades for our forever
Seventeen days of hell and fire
Yet I'm still alive and younger
