She had no smile on her face that day or the day before

She had no smile on her face that day or the day before

She had an illness that had no cure

Its symptoms were silent, so no one was alarm

But the cuts got more frequent on her arm

She had no smile on her face that day or the day before

She had an illness which affected her at the core

Her symptoms were silent, her body started shrinking

Her face a mask, no one knew what she was thinking

She had no smile on her face that day or the day before

She had an illness in which her mind was a blurr

Her symptoms were silent, Poison leaking into her heart

We didn’t know the end but we should have seen the start

She had no smile on her face that day or the day before

She had an illness, in which she found a solution for sure

Her symptoms were silent so she swallowed the pills

Because she knew that only in death do people care if you were ill
