She Seeks Warmth

Location

100001
Nigeria

When tears slip down her bronze skin,

She seeks warmth from the fire.

So far away, she craves it with a

Burning desire.

The crisp winds shroud her in the cold.

Her midnight-kissed hair blinds her vision.

She screams, her body

Destroyed by the collision.

And even after nightfall,

When everyone else has gone away,

The girl sits there with a permanent frown.

She will not be able to see the light of the new day.
