silent

silent

wont talk

she just nods

scared to speak up

she wants to be heard

but knows nobodys ever truly listening

she tries to trust  but shes struggling

nobody knows how hard she has truly had it

they just make assumptions and halfhearted attempts to comfort

looking in the mirror she cries ashamed of her scars

they cant see how vulnerable and exposed she feels

they just see her differences and make jokes

she keeps trying desperately to speak up

but they never notice that shes talking

her voice should have been heard

but shes used to it

its always like this

shes an outcast

broken forever

silent

This poem is about:
Me
My community
My country
Our world
