Sing With Me

Would you sit with me again,
and pour your heart in song?

As I crawl and drag myself along,
You crawled too, shared my burden with me.

I tripped and fell, smearing the ground with my blood.
You picked me up and carried me.

When my hands touch the keys,
Ebony and Ivory.
Our voices mix into a sweet song.

Crying in Silence,
I remember the music.

Screaming in the Dark,
afraid of the blackness around me,
You see me through to the light.

When you were struggling in the water,
kicking for the surface,
I filled your lungs with air.

Ever in Balance,
Melody and Harmony,
Ebony and Ivory.

If I have to crawl again...
And if I stumble and fall...

Will you sing with me again?
