Sleep

I love the way you sleep.

Though, I can no longer see the beauty of the skylight blue enriched in your eyes.

I see your innocents, there is no longer anything to disguise.

I see you are relaxed, you are at peace.

I see you are home, embraced in your dreams.

You twitch.

I draw myself closer, telling you my body is your gaurd.

Your Lips, so inviting they look.

They are the faintest colour of pink.

And, I yern to kiss them, yet I do not wish to disturb the power of your sleep.

Your breathing speeds up,

and I admit, it Terrifies me a bit.

I want to rescue you from your nightmares and take you back to your dreams.

I want to destroy those demons in your mind;

To protect you and make you believe things are never as scary as they seem.

Your breathing slows..

I no longer tense, I smile gently at your glorifing face.

The sunlight peaks out from behind your blindes,

and rests on you leaving nothing but

the breath-taking image of a silhouette You.

I love the way you sleep.
