On a Snowy, Winter’s Day (Collab Poem)

Mon, 09/22/2014 - 10:58 -- ecimase

Cold, brisk air

Trembling at my face

When I think of you

Of your bright smile

Standing alone

My eyes turned

Towards you

Your passion so true

My life is worth while

All the while

I am thinking of you

Standing in uttermost

Light, beneath a

Snowy day

On a cold, Winter day

When we huddled together

Through brisk times

Though my heart

Is stranded from

Distance of another

The embrace of you

Is nothing but true

And gleaming skies

Where God climbs through

Though life’s been said

In some harsh note left in bed

Despite the pain

I feel sweet bliss

From the warmth

Our warmth made this weary day

Melt into the stones and trees

Emanating, brilliantly

From your purest of hearts

Of what was once a beautiful world

May we both shine today

Yes today!

I try harder to connect

To the you, who

Both i know and not

For, I truly love you

On this snowy day

Not in yester of those dreary years

Made and spoiled by rotten tears

But today, today!

Of snowflakes

Hardening into crystals

Of brightness

Capturing out love

In its reflection

Of snowflakes

Hardening into crystals

Of brightness

Capturing out love

In its reflection

Of wonder and tears

May our cloudy days

Rush away

So that God’s light

Shines through the trees

Protecting our hearts

From whatever comes our way

Regardless of the hardships

We were to face

Those cold places

Of broken dreams

And shattering friendships

Because life is so

Both beautiful at best

And horrendous at worst

Together, forever

In sickness or health

For better, or for worse

How much we may be hurt

Standing together

Nature’s cold winds

Blowing through frozen trees

The harsh mountains

And endless, blue skies

May it all come into a beautiful light

As our souls become one

Through harmony and grace

At best through life’s endless chase

Though our opinions may clash

I am so ever rash

That now

It’s through and through

That our love

Be the truest of true

Adieu and Goodbye

To those endless times

Of loneliness and bittersweet rhymes

Because I have found you

My other half of humble glee

You and only you

May we stay

Together more

Never apart

In body and soul

Beneath this snowy winter’s day
