So We Drown

Billionaires donating money

donating money to a burnt down cathedral

poor people donating old clothes to other in need

billionaires donating money

donating meant to a burnt down cathedral

cities all over the world with lead water

billionaires donating money

donating meant to a burnt down cathedral

the polar bears and seal dying because they’re climate is gone

billionaires donating money

donating meant to a burnt down cathedral and cancer research

poor people cleaning the planet

billionaires donating money

donating meant to a burnt down cathedral and cancer research

billionaires polluting our planet

planet polluting our people indiscrimanetorly

people dying of cancer

maybe people get cancer because we pollute the earth

so the earth fights back and pollutes us

I am thankful for research done by some of the rich but

if the rich people who think they run the world don’t listen to the earth

there will be no future

our future lies in the provenly incapable hands

hands of the men who toss money at inanimate objects

the men who expect us to worship the ground they walk on

but how will we worship it when there is only water

there will be no land

and everybody will be drowning in medical bills from the pollution they tried to fix

billionaires will make boats of money to sail over and a few will sink

but most won’t because the medical care they can afford

is a life preserver nobody dared to toss the drowning poor people

so we drown
