So, the Weather...

Location

Funny how people do
Things they shouldn't.
Just because they think
No one's watching.
Unlike others I always
See them happen.

Doesn't matter if you're a secret liar
Because gossip spreads
Like wildfire.
Unlike others I always
Hear it last.

When word gets out
You deny and lie
And lie and lie.
You'll say "I didn't mean it."
Or "She said it not me."
Unlike others I know
Truth from false.

But there is another way.
My solution to the gossip equation is
The weather.
It might sound worthless
But when you're stuck in a dialogue
Full of she dids and he saids
And she saws and lies
And lies and lies
Just say this simple phrase:
"So, the weather."

It's a win-win
Better than trying to sin
By stabbing your friends in the back.
Unlike others I know
You'll get caught red-handed.
Even if they look at you crazy
When you talk about the rain density
Keep talking.
Unlike others I know
You’ll benefit from it.

Now you know the other way.
The solution to the gossip equation is
The weather.
It might sound stupid or worthless
But when you’re stuck in a dialogue
Full of she dids and he saids, and she saws and lies
And lies and lies and lies and lies
Just say this simple phrase:
“So, the weather.”

Don’t lie, just try
To fit in another way.
You’ll see, and be
The better one of them.

When pressure weighs you down
And you wanna give in and drown
Just say this simple phrase
And you’ll be amazed.
“So, the weather.”
