Society

I keep getting told I’m not pretty enough,

not skinny enough,

not tall enough,

not smart enough,

I keep getting told to change,

change your weight,

change your style,

change your make-up,

how about I change my out look?

how about I change for me and me alone,

not to fit your societal ideas,

but instead to fit mine,

I’m not the tallest, prettiest, skinniest, or smartest,

but I still smile,

because I’m me,

I’m what I want to be,

I love my self even though I’m not a model,

so how dare you tell me to change,

how dare you tell anyone to change,

before you force your change on others why not look at you,

practice what you preach,

before you come and judge me,

before you tell me to change,

look into yourself,

tell me honestly,

do you love what you see?

if not learn,

before you tell others to change,

make a change inside yourself.
