Red is the blood that has been bled

White are the tears that have been shed

Blue is the air and the seas through which our soldiers come home

Golden are those troops with whom our hearts roam

I want to thank you for service and sacrifice

And I hope this humble offering will suffice

I love what you have given me

All my freedoms and my liberty

I hope you can find comfort in what I have said

And for it to represent me in my stead
