Soul, Heart and Mind.

Age fourteen was the age I matured,

No one should go through what I endured,

Mother dies left feeling gloomy,

Angry at God, asking why did she have to leave me?

Living with regret and falling over every obstacle,

The Devil laughing like its comical,

Giving all my problems to God,

Its time to shine the Queen I am,

Beautiful black queen at age seventeen,

My life has meaning,

Honor roll student and manage several activities in school,

Received Outstanding Student Award and still stayed cool,

I am determined to not be a statistic,

The best Architect and Interior Designer that has ever existed,

Yes! That is Me,

The persevering black girl,

I AM Jasmine Bailey
