A Soul made of Sunshine

A soul made of sunshine

is what they say i am

too bold to define

an innocent lamb

if i didnt have my sun-soul

what would i be?

black as coal?

a crying plea

I need my sunflower heart

to continue to survive

my positivity keeps me apart

i can no longer deprive

sunshine bursting at my seams

cannot contain such wondrous beams

rays of yellow

through my skin cannot refrain

beginning to grow

this is all i need, no longer afraid.
