Soul Mate

Do you believe in love? Does such a thing exist? Is it in our minds and souls to run and run until the race has been finished? Until the finish line has been torn The whistle blown Is it at the end of the line? Does it all finish? Two, separated, never known, felt or heard Just simply, accidentally ran into each other The bond, the chemistry, the heat It may seem you are alone Alone in the wilderness with a mate, with someone who does care and does love Someone meant and made for you Someone worth the run Someone worth crawling, barely, but willingly reaching the finish line Someone who has blown the whistle years ago You just never heard it The noise caught up with you in the race Crowds storming left and right Beating each other for that line to be broken But when the turtle wins The hare stands no chance Fire and fire create a bigger fire Heat fills the aroma And the seconds turn into years of scarred hearts Scars that you can stitch back together and look behind It is the moment of realization when a half and half meet They click and form one The race turns into a jog with only one standing at the finish line Your soul mate.
