SPEAK

The words we say only mean what we make them.
A letter in itself does not carry any weight.
Combining them together allows us to communicate.
If you were given one more diction, one more sentence, one more phrase
Choosing words carefully, what would you say?
Would you use your words? Would you give them weight?
Wait! This is something we should engage in everyday.
Our words lose meaning the more we say.
Crybaby, slut, whore, lesbian, gay.

If you were given ten words, would you make them count?
Stop filling ears with poison and speak to build.
Until every ear, every mind, body, soul and heart are filled.
Speaking harmful words only creates fallacy.
You live once on this earth, so make your life a legacy.
Speak your words to lift, to fill, to save.
Harmful words will make you enslaved.
The more you say, the less your words will mean.
They will become loose, light utterances conveying the obscene.

Speak out for the hurt, the dying, the weak.
Say what is on your heart, that means the most to you.
Convey your passions out loud, and they are sure to imbue.
Let your words tear down less, but build up more.
Your life will be fulfilled, you’ll have wonderful rapport.
Hear me out and read these words.
But by my requests, do not be deterred.
You are an artist, your words speak you.
Just remember your words are how you are viewed.
