Spider

There it sits in the corner of my room

Eight bulging eyes watching my every move

Its home consists of thin, silky strings of web

Please, oh please don’t drop down onto my bed

I’m under my covers just scared to death

Feel the crawling sensation up my back

Get off! Get off! I can’t take it anymore!

This  small pesky creature that torments me

It has to go for fear is not for me

I roll out of bed and open the drawer

Grab the can that will get rid of my horror

I walk to the corner; stretch out my arm

Bye bye arachnid, you will be no more

I spray till it falls. In a ball it crawls

No longer moving, forever now still

My body relaxes, finally it’s gone

I crawl into my bed and close my eyes

You can scare me, i’ll overcome you
