Splitting Surface

Can we put the past behind us And start to search for the trust  Are we always going to let our before affect our after Because I don't visualize that as the factor  Love and peace Can that be the main course of the feast How about we get full off of friendship  And evacuate all of the tension  Problems after  problems  are all I see I don't think this is how it was supposed to be  I know  we have our own beliefs and opinions   We need to stop being controlled by self minions  Crazy how we used to be one landscape  Now we have our own size and shape  Let's hold each other's  hand  And make this our land  Where we can live love laugh in peace Now that's what I call the masterpiece  Which symbolizes in the center of the table That we no longer need labels  One  big puzzle  That's going through struggle  And I don't think I can take more  Of the thunder yelling its loudest roar Of the lightning striking my heart  Since the country continues to split apart
