Stand up in the Sinking Boat

If you have nothing nice

To say,

Then say nothing at all.

Silence is golden

When you

Need to be small.

Do not rock the boat

Too much,

Or everyone will fall.

But what if the boat

is

taking on

water?

What if to live,

You have

To flip the boat?

How do you stay

afloat

when your drowning?

Speak the truth;

the honest truth;

the hard truth;

the kind truth.

Tell the world who you are,

How you feel, and

What you know.

Without you and I

Standing up in the sinking boat,

The whole world would

Drown.
