Star-Catcher

Catch me a star and I shall catch you a story

Forever hid within a wall of nothingness

For who I am behind that wall of disguise

Sweeter than kind and a bigger heart than gory

Hiding from myself like hiding from laws of somethingness

For others may cheat kindness for plenty of 'good-byes'

Fear of hurt created a lie to my truth

Was I true to myself?

The real me to tell truth will pain sooth

Me: not a book left on a dusty shelf

A writer with a mind of the galaxy's stars

More tales than each star of glimmering gems

A dreamer with a beauty of morning rays through fog

A wish to unleash this inner me held by bars

Give me a star and I shall find you a story den

Instead of hiding beneath a log

What else shall I say to create more of me?

Quiet, silence inside this shell

However inside shows a golden key

Of imagination that is more than I can tell

Instead of telling you

Let me show you

A story about a girl

Who caught stars with her stories
