star-crossed love affair

I.

starlit night in your eyes

mind consumed of rosé wine

just me, you, and the sky

II.

left me breathless, cold death

it was supposed to be us and the sky

you consumed me and disappeared

III.

the starlit night continued to shine

and it grasped my ruptured soul

to be wrapped inside of the clouds

IV.

you left me there to die and so i did

but ever so gracefully did i disappear

into the night sky consumed of stars
