Stars On Your Cheek

Acne dapples your face

just as stars blemish the sky.

I’ve seen you look in the mirror

to ask yourself why.

You seize the concealer,

yet your smile, still wry,

because no one picks up a brush

to paint a starless night sky.

This poem is about:
Me
