But Still...

I rush off to school and forget to fill your bowl with food

But still you love me

I stomp past you angrily to my room because I had a bad bad, ignoring your affections

But still you love me

I yell at you for pot tying on the carpet even though it was I who did not let you out in time

But still you love me

I sleep all afternoon while you wait patiently in the far corner of you crate for me to wake up

But still you love me

I left you heartbroken and whimpering at a boarding house for two weeks, while I happily went onvacation

But still you love me

I go out to party at nights, while you look solemnly through the window for my safe return

But still you love me

I reprimand you for barking at strange visitors that come by the house, too blind to see that you are only trying to protect me

But still you love me

You anxiously, yet quietly look up at me napping on the couch after a tiring day at school with your leash in your mouth, waiting for me to wake up.

From the day I saw you at the pet store, I fell in love with you.

Even when you think I don't....still I love you.
