Storms In The Mind

Location

I lay here on the porch, my best friend and I
I look in her eyes, to her heart and her mind
And I see the black clouds
Of her thoughts on sleepless nights
I know they fill her with feelings so full of pain
Oh, how I wish she could never feel them again
But behind the storms of dark thoughts and salty rain
That flood her pillow when the clouds are full to the brim
I see the brilliant sunrays of the beautiful girl within
Today she does not see them, but someday she'll begin
When the storms decay, and the sun finally wins
