The strength through family

At this point last year

My family was a wreck

(no pun intended).

My brother had got hit

By a car flying down the road

And ended up in the hospital

For weeks.

I was in my dorm

When I got the call

And had to find a way

To get to him.

I talked to the dean

And emailed all my teachers.

I missed all my finals

And the last two days of classes

So I could go see him.

I got down to him at last

And got to hold his hand.

When he heard my voice,

He opened his eyes for just a second

And it was the best feeling in the world.

I stayed by his side as often as i could

And did anything i could think of to help

Other than that my December and January was crazy

My grandpa Sam was very sick,

The cancer had taken over.

Grandpa Sam passed away in December.

In January I went back to school

To take my test.

While I was there I got a phone call

Saying that my favorite teacher had passed away.

I went back home, once again.

Back at school again

And in February my Grandpa Saunders

Passed away

These experiences, these test,

Have taught me,

To live life to the fullest.

I have done many things this year

And taken many risk.

This year we also moved,

From Copperas Cove to

Knox City.

With 9 cars and a convoy

And a 4 hour drive.

With 14 people and

100 boxes.

The day was loads of fun.

The house itself

Also need a lot of work.

While we were unpacking,

We were also fixing.

We were sawing

And putting up wallpaper

And drilling

And all of that stuff

That taught me

That even in tough times

When the stress is high

You can do it all

Especially with family.

(It also taught me

That when I move

It will not be

A fixer-upper)
