Stress

So many stresses,

Day after day after day!

It makes my head hurt!

The pain in my head

Can feel like a volcano

Filling me with dread!

The terrible dread

Comes around every corner

When least expected.

It just seems to me

There is no avoiding it.

Stress is everywhere.

“Do these five problems.”

Doesn’t sound like it’ll be too hard,

But multiple parts.

Problems to address,

Homework and applications,

They don’t seem to end!

It blurs my vision

Until I almost can’t see!

The stress is blinding!

My mom wants to help,

But she just isn’t sure how.

I know she means well.

Sometimes she’s pushy,

But before I can complain,

She tells me sorry.

When I feel this stress,

Poetry helps relieve it

And lessen the pain.

Breathe in and breathe out.

I’ve calmed down a little bit.

I feel better now.

The end approaches.

Winter break is in my sights!

End of semester.
