Strong People Cry Too

Hold your head up, they say

Don't ever let them see you cry

Make them think you don't feel pain

Show no emotions in your eyes.

Pick yourself up off the ground, they say

Don't let anyone push you around

Keep all the rash and spiteful words in

And don't ever utter a sound.

Be strong and stand up, they say

Never cover away in fright

Walk the good and narrow path

Always do what is right

But sometimes we all need a moment

To cry and let the frustrations out

It doesn't make you less of a person

To find a seperate route

Strong people often need outlets

It doesn't take anything away

Just clears your mind and renews yours perspective

And sometimes lets you have a better day
