Stuck

I am stuck in the same place I have been in for years,

Comfortable and safe, but stuck.

It’s nice over here,

Everyone waves to me,

Everyday is the same routine,

Stuck.

It’s time to change that

But I am scared,

How do I leave everything behind,

The routine, the people

Stuck.

They tell me to go.

They tell me it’s better for me.

They tell me they’ll miss me.

It is still hard to leave,

Stuck.

But I can’t stay stuck here forever

I need to grow, to bloom and blossom

It’s sad, but I am going

Finally leaving

No longer stuck

I’m not gone forever

I will come back

I’ll tell those who waved to me how I’ve been

I’ll be spontaneous once in a while

It’s scary over here

Uncomfortable, unknown, but exciting

No longer stuck
