Suicidal Sister

Location

(The following is not based on true events. It is intended to encourage others to reach out to those who may be suffering.)

She sat down staring beyond the window,

Glancing at the night.

Her brother watched her sympathetically,

Sad about the sight.

He knew there was much more she desired,

Emotion to smite.

Looking for the faces of fellowship,

To relieve her fright.

But there were too few true friends remaining,

Supporting her side.

She did not get to see enough of them,

Like they chose to hide.

She lies down awake as if nocturnal,

Dark does not subside.

She was haunted by what came to her head,

Thoughts of suicide.

She was a suicidal sister,

And she was looking for the blister.

Sister, how can he deliver you,

This maiden from a lethal maiden?

He phoned up all of their mutual friends,

Relaying concern.

He explained that he needed solutions,

So he could discern.

The best way to save his only sibling,

He wanted to learn.

To keep her away from the scorching flame,

And out of the urn.

Every single one of them arrived,

They chose to commit.

Sitting on sofas and lending their ears,

So she would submit.

Saying she had sorrow for tomorrow,

Letting words emit.

The conversation eventually,

Got her to admit.

She was a suicidal sister,

And she was looking for the blister.

Sister, how can he deliver you,

This maiden from a lethal maiden?

She was awakened from her solitude,

Looking at her brother with gratitude.

Grateful to have someone responsible,

Knowing he made all of it possible.

Even if it was all orchestrated,

By her brother she was now elated.

How thankful she was to be related,

By him she could never once be hated.
