Surrender

Sun, 09/14/2014 - 10:57 -- LEchols

Deep darkness held onto the fragile

heart

she carried within her chest-

unspent tears in her eyes

a mind that would never stop

but a brain that had died.

The slow beating of a broken soul

and the thoughts that lurk below

the surface of a mask

she would wear- it was her task-

do not touchme-

do not pity me.

I am not a wounded animal-

do not look at me as such-

stop-

stop-

I cannot go on with the

words I write.

I will surrender my long

fight

to the will of hte evil and deadly

thoughts of the night-

when morning cometh-

darkness is just the absence

of light.

Surrender it says

Surrender I write

Surrender

Surrender...

Surrender-

It echoes in the quiet

chaos of my life.
