Surrounded by Loneliness

Location

See that girl?

Alone, shuttering against the cold,

Making her way to point B?

Wearing her hand-me-down jacket and shoes with rips and tears,

Only wanting to make it through the day.

I know that girl

That plain, tall being,

Listening to her music, thinking about tomorrow.

Exterior walls never come down with just a curious stare

They need a powerful force to destroy them

Did you know she loves to sing? Did you know she loves to read?

Did you know that she is smart and beautiful?

Did you know she has a voice to be expressed?

No?

Neither did she.
