Tell Me

Location

Children be kind

Elders be strong

Everyone tell me one thing

Tell me that I am wrong.

I saw the world

To be a better place

World to be peaceful

And not like this messy face

I grew up and matured

Thought responsibility was handled

With intelligence and pride

Not deceitfulness and gambled.

Everyone tell me

What am I doing wrong

Am I looking in the wrong place

Or am I consumed in a rotten song.

Elders, they tell me

I am too young

But waiting for age to make me wise

Will take the air out of my lungs.

Children, they tell me

There's nothing wrong

With the way things are

And not to make my face too long.

Maybe, someday I'll find out

Find answers on my own

Even if takes me so long

To pay off my loan.
