tempered morning

I count the day's sitting in the weary cold so beaten down

I shall not grow bold less

the morning light washes me

clean, then my purer heart might be seen, tip toe my dreams

along the milky way, no longer I struggle, here to stay,

plant my roots, my doubts at bay

walking weary along star lighted sleep it is here

my heart

I do keep.
