Test of Battle

“You’re not good enough”

With these few words war was waged

The one man battle began within my mind.

“I knew I wasn’t good enough”

“Why’d I even try”

“Why did I fool myself to thinking i’d succeed?”

Not long after the beginning the allies had already faltered.

Tears broke through and then collapse

I lost. I wasn’t accepted.

Daylight soon showered over the lands

A new day had dawned

Determination already built

The next war was waged

This time I came prepared.
