Thank You

When I was younger, I hated you. I hated you for leaving, for going to serve the

people instead of staying with us, for putting your country before your family. I

hated you... for not being there for me. When I grew up, I wanted to watch as you

walked through the door, and I wanted to see the shock on your face as I broke your

nose. But when that day finally came... I couldn't do it. I remember breaking down in

your arms, crying and begging and pleading for you to stay. In the end, after years of

saying I hate you, of years of screaming at pictures of you, after years of crying

myself to sleep at night... I still ended up loving you. I want to say thank you. Thank

you for making my goals in life clear, for making me the man I am today.

                                        Thank You For Coming Back
