Thank You, God

When my friends and family are around me,

I feel a euphoric high.

Their undying love astounds me.

My needs they won’t deny.

For these individuals, I am grateful.

I owe it all to you.

Thank you, God, for these people.

Thank you, God, for you.

When classes are confusing me,

And I feel like giving up,

It’s you who I can turn to,

To fill with love my cup.

I am thankful to go to college,

An invaluable opportunity – true.

Thank you, God, for knowledge.

Thank you, God, for you.

Someday I’ll be a doctor.

This will be a lot of work.

Aspiring to help the living,

It’s a calling I cannot shirk.

Helping the sick become well again,

The dying and wounded too.

Thank you, God, for this ability

Thank you, God, for you.
