Thank you grandpa

Wed, 10/03/2018 - 12:56 -- Arynor7

From childhood to adulthood you’ve been with me.

I can not thank you enough for the sacrifices you’ve made, for our family.

Your wisdom, your guidance, your loving hand.

Has gotten me through times, unplanned.

Your smile, your jokes, they make me feel such happiness.

And when I look into your eyes, I know God must have planned this.

You were meant to be my Bumpa, and I your ardy.

But sometimes, when I sit alone, I start to miss my father.

Even though when I needed him most, he never really bothered.

But every little girl needs a dad to hold them when they cry.

Or make a fake threat when their baby girl brings home that special guy.

I say to myself boy that’d be nice. But then I start to realize.

I have that someone who’s always there.

His name to me is Bumpa and no one can compare.

The times we’ve laughed, the precious moments we’ve shared.

I’m a lucky girl, that is true,  I’ve had some struggles and have pulled through.

But I couldn’t have done it without you.

So from adulthood and beyond you will be with me.

I thank you Bumpa for so many things you have sacrificed for this family.
