Thank You, My Mentor

I would like to say thanks,

To you,

For filling in the blanks.

Who knew?

Who knew all the answers

And gave them to me

Like a million dancers

Learning to be.

You taught me until

You were red in the face

Gave me the skill

To come in first place

You made me into who I am

Gave me a reason to be

I would not for a second change who I am

I simply would not be me

Thank you, my mentor
