Thanksgiving For...

Thanksgiving is a happy time.

A lot of ideas burst into my mind.

Where we have come from,

Where we have since been.

Where are going.

To what we are destined.

At Thanksgiving time, leaves will fall.

With good food and thanks, we'll have a ball.

Eating turkey.

Spicy beef jerky.

Unforgettably sweet corn.

Eaten by us and Pilgrims and Indians on Thanksgiving morn.

It's not all about food, though.

Thank God for all we've got.

For health and strength,

A roof over my head.

For computers -- technology,

And beds with teddys keeping children warm.

A people no longer oppressed.

We are sincerely blessed.

We live in a country that's "free".

We have much more liberty.

Not forced to worship on any day.

Thanksgiving for the Land of Fair Play.
